Shower Efflorescence Removal Service in Atlanta, GA | D’Sapone

Removing Efflorescence in Atlanta.

The white hard substance that grows on and
in the shower drain, tile, stone and grout.

Shower Efflorescence

No efflorescence. No cracking issue.

Efflorescence is a burden for shower floors and outside concrete and brick. Efflorescence is the white substance that is very hard like grout, which grows over the tile and in the shower drain and grout lines.  If this issue is not cured or rectified properly, then it will keep getting worse and could crack the tile on the shower floor.

Removing the bulk.

We remove the shower drain cover. Then, we scrape all the bulk efflorescence on the tile and grout lines in order to dissolve the rest chemically. Our goal is to perform a shower efflorescence removal service in Atlanta, from the root.

Cleaning shower on an epic scale.

Now it’s time to remove efflorescence with pFOkUS®’ Zido chemical.  No harsh residue or chemicals left behind because the efflorescence neutralizes the Zido. On the surface, it removes the efflorescence on contact and will not damage the tile or PVC pipe. Underneath, Zido attacks the calcium and salts to remove the efflorescence to the mud bed, even under the tile. We are the only company to use this perfected process and technology while performing a shower efflorescence removal service in Atlanta.
Sealing Grout>

Waterproofing the shower tile.

We remove all the caulk and replace it with Sentura – a flexible resin/epoxy filler, which looks like grout. We also repair all the cracked grout lines with Sentura to keep the grout durable. Then we seal all the grout lines with Caponi® – a two part solvent titanium pigmented sealer. Our artists perform the shower efflorescence removal service in Atlanta, with a 5 year warranty.

Why efflorescence develops in showers.

This diagram, displays how your shower is constructed when you have efflorescence issues or in some cases mold problems. The top of the mud bed (concrete) is not protected with a waterproofing membrane. Underneath the mud bed, there is no pre-slope. Without either of these steps, water will not drain to the weep holes and the mud bed will not dry out. If caulk is used around the perimeter, it will mildew fast and even pull away with ease. To rectify this issue, we have to stop the water from passing through the grout and corners, where the caulk was applied.

Efflorescence removal questions?
Here are our answers.

Is efflorescence a white substance, taking place the surface?

Yes. It may look like a whitish grout, growing in your grout lines and over your tile. It is very hard.

Why does efflorescence grow on shower floor?

Most contractors don’t install shower correctly. That’s what allows water to dwell underneath the tile, feeding the minerals in the concrete mud bed. Through the weep holes, the minerals take place in your shower drain. Now, it grows over your tile and grout.

Will your tactic overcome the efflorescence issue?

Yes. While performing the shower efflorescence removal service in Atlanta, we only apply the most powerful cleaners and sealers from pFOkUS®, which will not break down overtime. We use Sentura around the perimeter to seal the corners, and cover the grout lines with Caponi®, waterproofing the shower.

I contacted two other companies, but they were not ready to guarantee their process, why?

Good question. Most contractors use the simple and less expensive products from big box stores. We learned over 10 years ago that cheap cleaners and sealers don’t work. We have exclusive agreement with pFOkUS® and we have the right to use their products to remove efflorescence.

Why is my shower drain covered with efflorescence?

Most home owners want to unclog their shower drains and overcome the efflorescence issue. This burden is caused from the efflorescence, taking place via the drain weep holes beneath the tile. We will rectify this issue.

What if my cultured marble is peeling, because I had it restored?

The best answer we could provide is to post reviews for others, not to be fooled by companies providing this service. There is no process we can perform for this issue because the entire pan has to be stripped.

Why should we hire D'Sapone®?

We are the only one company to provide the shower efflorescence removal service in Atlanta, from the root. We also warranty that the efflorescence will not take place again on your shower floor.
